Our Unique Workshops

All of our workshops will include West Coast Swing switch and/or steal content.

Some are leveled, others are for all levels.

See our level descriptions to decide which workshops will work best for you.

Single day events, May 10, July 26, and August 30 will be at two levels:

Basics,  Intermediate/Advanced, and some All Levels

We also encourage people new to WCS switch and steal to take one of our

Secondary Role Intensives offered at every event.

(Basics and Intermediate/Advanced level descriptions to come)

SwitchOn Seattle, Dec. 11-14, 2025 has its own definitions of levels!

You will be able to choose between 4 levels (see below).  Workshops and competitions will be offered for individual level, 2 levels combined, and some all levels

Choose your level carefully!

Cookie Dough, a Sugar Cookie, a Chocolate Chip Cookie, or a Snickerdoodle!

Let us, or any of our instructors at events, know if you need help deciding your level and let us know during events if you feel you need to move to a different level.

All of the workshops will be taught by experienced West Coast Swing instructors

To Prepare You for Switch and Steal Workshops

Switching roles in dance can be challenging if you are not confident dancing both roles. Don't fret, we've got you covered!   Take one of our 2-hour Secondary Role Bootcamps.  They will be scheduled at the at the start of many of our events.

Our instructor will review lead and follow techniques and basic patterns from the opposite perspective, boosting your confidence to explore some initial switching and stealing skills.

Some introduction to basic switch and steal concepts will be included at the level the instructor sees will fit the people in the room.

To enroll, you must have a strong foundation in 6- and 8-Count basics in your primary role.

This Bootcamp is designed both for people who have never danced in their secondary role and for those who want to dive more into technique while revisiting their basics.

This Bootcamp is not suitable for complete beginners; you should already have at least six months of WCS experience in your primary role.
