Our Unique Competitions

The competitions at our events will all include switch, steal, or both and none of them will qualify for the points that are granted in WSDC registry events.  We will will not have a point system, so each competition will stand alone. Only the fun will add up!  Prizes will vary and always prioritize fun as the value, sometimes the acknowledgement will be the prize.   Prizes will not be announced in advance.

Smaller events may include only one competition, while larger events will have more.  The competitions offered in each event will be posted on the event pages.  The competitions will all include from one to four songs per round.

About Us

Marcus was excited about switch and steal from the moment he saw it on the social dance floor in Seattle, inspiring him to take some initial, excellent, workshops from Samantha Buckwalter and Mahal Fedor.

Once completely hooked he took a few private lessons, a few more workshops and learned about SwitchXperience Paris.  Attending that event crystalized his love of switch and steal inspiring him to work toward promoting SwithOn NW event with the visoun of creating something as wonderful as SwitchXperience Paris and Berlin.

Denice loves Marcus and all things WCS and wants to help the WCS community and its values flourish and grow.  Helping to develop switch and steal is a unique and fun way to do that!  She is also loving the adventure of learning to lead!

Matthew William Farver our Webmaster.

New to WCS and switch but apparently already fully addicted.  As it should be.

Tara Ann Carpenter, our Social Media Manager

(Tara, would you like to write a first draft about you?)   Then I'll add flourish and complements attempting to make you just the right about of embarrassed.
